Evening at Tenpin Bowling

Today evening we spent @ Tenpin Bowling in derby . Sreeja the usual champion in our house was outplayed tonight. Below is the results of the first round. Second round was even worse .

Later on gained confidence to bowl without the stand. Bumpers can be seen in both the videos. They come up at the player’s turn who is setup to use bumpers

Convert PDF to Kindle Friendly Format (MOBI)

I was looking for a free software for converting my pdf files to kindle friendly format files so that kindle’s features could be utilised.

After some search, Calibre seems to be a good choice for the same. It lets you convert various ebooks into different file formats which are friendly for the many reading devices out in the market.

This software could be used as a good Ebook Management Tool as well.

Onlive Desktop on iPad in UK

Managed to install Onlive Desktop on my iPad . Was very curious to find out how is it. It looks great so far, but haven’t used much.

This is a free app and lets you logon to a Windows 7 system in Cloud, where excel , word and PowerPoint are installed. We can create files, edit them on IPad and save them. We can access those files later from a pc and can be downloaded.

This app is not available in the UK AppStore. There is a work around to access US iTunes stores from UK and install the App.

The tip mentioned in the post below works really well. Follow it carefully. You might also need to create a US account on Onlive.com as well.

Upgraded my iPad2 to iOS 5 (after a long wait) and managed to Jailbreak as well on Firday Night . Glad I got a mac.
