The lesson is set in a school room where two parents and their kid meet the Principal for school admission. The Principal fills in the forms,
Principal: “What is your name?”
“Jeevan”
Principal: “Nice…father’s name?”
“Anwar Rasheed”
Principal: Mother’s name?”
“Lakshmi Devi”The Principal looks at the parents
Principal: “What should I fill in for the kid’s religion?”
Parents : “Keep it blank…or else add No Religion”Principal: “Caste”
Parents : “not needed”The Principal leans back on his chair and asks solemnly
Principal: “What if he wants a religion when he grows up?”
Parents : “If he wants a religion when he grows up, he can choose the one he likes then”End of Lesson

Are you trying to limit the contraversy in the page of 24. The whole book will lead the students in a contraversy. Why the questions in the first three lessons leads like a foolish questions. I suspect the book prepared man who have no ability to create the mental strength of students.

Seventh Std. text book issue is for nothing.This is 100 % politically motived issue.I have no oppinion that the text book is complete OK. I have read , many people complaining that the syllabus is not suitable for 12 years age old childeren.I would like to tell the poeple those who have this complaint please go through other classes text book even KG standard ,all text book are same that is not suitable for thier age they can not homework and not understand issue of social & culture etc..
This kind of syllabs implemented years back, why only protesting now.I have read the 7th class text social studies text book, in this book nothing against relegion and not trying to spreading communism direclty or indireclty.Ruling parties can not insist to study their ideology throgh school text book. If doing such public should protest unit the withdrawal of the book. Here this book is available those who have intererst and they can read.
What about the central government syllabus, already alleged many complaints ,why this became big issue.Why relegious group and political parties not showing interest in cetral government syllabus.We are living in multi cultural society.We have to respect each other meanwhile peacefully we can campaign about our relegion and culture to other society.
Due this issue in future in the school can not study HISTORY , because history is related to King , Leaders,Relegous Leaders, Country Leaders, also these leaders is the part of relegion or specific group .for example Sri Narayan Guru is an Ezhavan and Nehru is Congress and rationalist . Those who are not interested/disagree with above we have to protest , we have to tell do not include thier photo or any ideology in text book other cast and party students are studying in school.We can do like this ? In future it will happen ?

Religion itself means idendity.Each and every person requir religion.We can do better thikns by stay withinthe limit of religion.Let deside the authority that they never ask the society about their religion and cast when they aproach them.When the system used in proper way it support the peocess of modifying the society if we misuse these gives reverse result.

This controversy is absolutely baseless and made up. The question here is who are the eligible people to make the line between the good lesson and bad… Are thse KSU leaders who was never seen on forefront of any student movement or any people’s issue, or those religious leaders who think only to broaden their religious base?
This is pathetic to see the society is quietly watching this absurd act by these antisocial groups.
